No, they are all scams. There are hundreds of thousands of people who would love to earn money from home at night while the family is asleep or days when retired to the country so you would be competing with every farm wife and retired person in the country for a few hours work.
Start your own business from home, if you need home based not work at home your options are nearly endless. You could go clean houses, wash windows, clean gutters, do bookkeeping or childcare, small engine repair. There are a lot of ways to earn money from home much more than to earn money at home.

I am looking for people to do home parties selling my product starting in early 2008. I am a jewelry designer living in The
New Orleans area. I have been selling my jewelry VERY successfully on a local level, and looking to expand into other markets. This IS a legitimate business, however it IS a NEW home party business, that may take a while to work out the kinks. I can be as fun and profitable for you as it has been for me for the last three years. I left a job of 23 years to pursue something I love. To go legitimate, don’t start "out there."
Start in your own neighborhood. Companies outsource work these days. Learn how to keep accounting records or payroll for local businesses, or design websites for local businesses… and here is a free book on starting your own business… Go It Alone… find it here.

There are definitely legitimate companies out there…You just have to do your research. As a matter of fact, I work for a well known 35 year old beauty product company—nature inspired——it is not Mary Kay, Tupperware, Arbonne, or Avon

What it comes down to is no matter what you do, you should do your research before getting involved and whatever you decide to do,,,you must have passion for it—if not, it will not work!!

There are, but finding the right one to fit you is the challenge.
My wife does direct selling for a company, because she went from bedridden to healthy and active on their products. It has completely changed the health of many of the people we know. That’s her business.
I own http://www.usexpos.org, which lists craft shows, bridal shows, trade shows, car shows, etc. I believed there should be one site that lists all the shows and events across the country. I thought it should be free to the public, no membership hassles, user friendly and updated daily.
Here’s the theme of this response. Each of us found something we believed in, and we worked hard at it.
If you looking to do absolutely nothing, ever, and be a millionaire, buy a lottery ticket, and pray – hard.
If you want a real business that brings in real income, you have two choices.
Choice #1: Find a company that you believe in, and work with them. – want to know if they are legit? Look up any direct selling company at dsa.org They are the watchdog over all direct selling companies. The only requirement to be in the DSA are ethical standards, and clean books. If the DSA won’t do business with them, you shouldn’t either. Also, check a company out with the better business burea.
Choice #2: Do it yourself. Find a need, and fill it. Do something that is sorely needed because no one is doing it, or not doing it well. Be prepared to work your tail off, but in the long run, doing it yourself has the greatest income potential. Read everything you can get your hands on for your chosen business. – Now here’s the key. Something the vast majority of companies of all sizes fail at. Take care of your customers. Take three steps around to the other side of the counter, and see what the experience is from their vantage point. Never stop making the experience better and better for them. Make your customers happy, and they will empty their wallets at your feet. You will never have to worry about finances again.

Yes, there are a few good opportunities out there. Be sure to do your research on the companies. I believe a good rule of thumb in checking out these offers is to see if the company is traded on NYSE. I just happen to be a part of a growing home base business. There are work from home websites but be careful from scam websites! These trap people on false impressions to pay them 1000s of dollars daily but ask for a starting nominal fee! These are true scammers! But a few which I would like to tell are, firstly, one of the good legit work at home website not requiring any amount to pay is:-
