Time to Introduce your Baby to Cow's Milk

But once your baby turned out ‘One’ and you have celebrated his/her first birthday, then it's the ideal time to introduce Cow’s Milk. amount of Calcium, protein and carbs present abundantly in cow milk. So the

right age to wean off the breast milk and introduce your Baby to Cow’s Milk is after her first birthday bash.


Cow Milk is full of Calcium, Protein, and Carbohydrates which is crucial for baby’s bone & teethgrowth, overall development and gives your child the energy he/she needs for all day.


Now the question that pops in our mind is - How to Start Baby's First Cow's Milk -

Start giving Cow’s Milk to your baby at the time of dinner or else in the evening time. It is also

advisable to give them straw so they can have it easily. Usually, babies like the taste of Cow’s

Milk if your baby too, likes it then you are blessed. But if not - then you can add formula or

Breast Milk in it to give them the taste they like. Gradually you can reduce the quantity of the

formula or Breast Milk to give them the complete nutrients of the Cow Milk. Make sure your baby drinks at least half glass of milk or 2 cups or 16-20 ounces of cow milk to your baby. Continue to give this much of Milk quantity to your baby until he turns 3.


There is often asked a question - Can we give Breast Milk to our baby along with Cow’s Milk. Then yes, Surely you can there is no harm in doing so. Even amalgamation of two can be given to babies. Better Infants (a child under a year old) should be given Breast Milk whereas Toddlers (from a year to three-year-old) can have Cow’s Milk, Breast Milk and Formula Milk, any or all.


Milk comes with its own nutritional benefits and it is readily available in the market. Cow’s Milk aids in bone building such as the presence of vital elements like Calcium, Riboflavin, Vitamin D, and Protein which makes it a complete food.

And it may cause a deficiency of Iron which leads to anemia. The Cow’s Milk is good to give Nutrition for Breastfeeding Toddlers as their bodies can digest the Cow’s Milk easily.
